Ask how often to post and the answer is always more. Every guide says daily, most say twice, some say three times with stories in between. That advice is written by people for whom posting is the entire job.
The real constraint
It is not the algorithm. It is whether you will still be doing this in six months. A cadence you can hold through a busy month, an illness, a tour, a deadline — that is the cadence that compounds.
Three posts a week for a year beats daily posting for five weeks, and the second one ends in a feeling of failure that makes starting again harder.
What frequency actually buys
More posts means more chances to be seen, and that is real. But the curve flattens fast, and it inverts once quality drops — a feed of filler trains your audience that your posts are skippable, which costs you the ones that matter.
A defensible answer
- Two to three times a week, held consistently, for almost anyone
- Daily only if creating is your job, not your marketing
- Never a cadence you set during an enthusiastic week
Set the slots when you are being realistic rather than ambitious, and let the queue hold you to them. The scheduler's job is to make a modest cadence effortless, not to help you sustain an unrealistic one for a month.
