A posting schedule that survives a busy week

Deciding when to post, one post at a time, is the thing that quietly kills consistency. Fixed slots move that decision to once.

Most people do not stop posting because they run out of ideas. They stop because every single post requires a decision about when, and decisions are the expensive part.

Move the decision

A posting schedule is a small set of weekly times — Monday 19:00, Wednesday 18:30, Friday 19:00. You choose them once, based on when your audience is actually around, and then you never choose again.

After that, writing a post is one question: what do you want to say? The queue answers when.

Three slots beats seven

A schedule you can keep in a bad week is worth more than one you abandon in the second month. Three posts a week, held for a year, beats daily posting held for five weeks — and the second one feels like failure, which makes starting again harder.

Leave the gaps visible

An empty calendar should show where posts would go, not just that there are none. A slot with nothing in it is a prompt; a blank week is a shrug.

In Postgust, empty slots appear on the calendar and clicking one opens the composer already set to that moment. The queue is not a separate feature you have to remember — it is what the calendar looks like when it is waiting for you.

Stop watching the clock. Start drifting.
