"What should I post?" has no answer. It is too big. The trick is to swap it for a smaller question that does — and to keep a list of those questions where you can see it.
Questions that always work
- What did a customer ask this week that others probably wonder too?
- What did I do differently this time, and why?
- What did I get wrong recently, and what did it teach me?
- What does the work look like at the unglamorous stage?
- What do people misunderstand about what I do?
- What would I tell someone starting today?
Where the raw material is
Your sent emails. Your replies to comments. The note you typed to yourself at 11pm. Half of a year's posts were already written once, in a place nobody saw.
The one thing not to do
Post something empty to keep the streak. A skipped day costs nothing. A post that says nothing teaches people to skip you.
Keep the list of questions at the top of your content sheet. On the empty day, read down it until one stings a little. That is the post.
